Name: China Gejiu International Paragliding Tournament and Domestic Paragliding Open
Date: Oct.16 to 20, 2007, the actual flying activities will be in 2 days.
Place: Gejiu city, Yunan Province , China ( 2 and half hours fly from Beijing to Kunming , capital city of Yunnan Province , then come to Gejiu by ground transportation)
Information of the take off: Coordinates of the take off place: N：23，22，15， E：103，09，55. Elevation is 2131meter, Lake surface is 1680meters above sea level, so the height from the take off to the lake surface is about 450meters. The distance from the take off to the center of the lake is about 1000meters. The lake size is 1000meters long and 500meter wide. The deepest place in the lake is about 15 meters. The water is Chinese standard level 4(undrinkable). There is cable car to the mountain top―take off place.
Contest items: Acrobatic and Accuracy
Participants: Domestic pilots: 50, International Invited pilots: 10( These pilots will not compete with the Chinese pilots. They will be invited to have flying shows and fun fly. That means they will show their flying skill to Chinese pilots and the publics.).
Invitation Conditions: Each invited international pilot will get 400EUR for their international air ticket. Once they arrive in China , Beijing (China Capital) for example, we will pay their domestic travel(The round trip fly from Beijing to Kunming will cost about 400EUR normally), food, hotels, ground transportation, sightseeing in Beijing and Kuming(famous tourist city in China and world). So, this means that, for European pilot, they just pay about less than half international air ticket fee, then they will enjoy a very good trip in China . So, I hope the invited pilots can fix this as early as possible and book the very low price international tickets. I hope they arrive in Beijing on Oct.14th, so that we can organ! ize the sightseeing for them in the capital city. We hope these invited pilots will come from about 5 countries.
